KEWL Student Checking 

Our KEWL Checking Account helps teens and students develop healthy financial habits, while earning exciting rewards! Students ages 13-23 (17 and under requires adult participation and signature with this account) are eligible for this account. Choose from a customized NPB VISA® Card or a card featuring the school’s logo (as available) at no charge. Checks with the school’s logo are also available.

Students can earn uChoose® reward points* every time they sign for purchases using their card. As an added bonus, New Peoples Bank will add uChoose® points for the following:

  • Birthday - 100 points
  • Direct Deposit - 10 points for having a direct deposit
  • Logging in to online banking - 10 points for logging in to online banking at least once per month
  • Bill Pay - 10 points per payment with a maximum of 50 points per month
  • Enroll in mobile banking - 100 points (one time)
  • Open additional accounts - 100 points per new account (one time)

We want to reward students for a job well done at the end of the school year.

For our elementary and high school students:

  • 100 additional points for those elementary/high school students who have an A/B final average for the current school year*
  • 100 additional points for those elementary/high school students who have perfect attendance for the current school year*

*Students must bring in their final report card, an A/B honor roll certificate or a perfect attendance certificate for verification. Students are eligible to earn in both categories for a total of 200 points.

For our college students:

  • 50 additional points per semester for full time college students who maintain a 3.0 average**
